KARA K5J Autograph Session in Singapore!

The lovely ladies of KARA are currently in Singapore for their K5J by KARA Showcase 2012, which will be held on the 10 July at Resorts World Sentosa.
But prior to the showcase, the girls held a special fansign session for lucky fans at the Official Mall – Causeway Point. Clad in dreamy white velvet dresses, the girls made the whole mall go crazy when they appeared on stage. Unfortunately, only 4 members (Kang Jiyoung, Goo Hara, Jung Nicole, Park Gyuri) were present, as Han Seungyeon was urgently hospitalized due to Anemia.

The whole event went very smoothly, starting off with the girls greeting the fans, to the fansign for 80 lucky fans, and a short photo-session at the end.

T-ara’s ‘Day by Day’ MV set uses the same one as SHINee’s ‘Sherlock’ MV set

Considering that South Korea is a small country, it comes as no surprise that companies would use sets from other groups’ MVs and drama sets for their own MVs.

An astute fan discovered, while watching T-ara’s recent Day by Day dance MV, that Core Contents Media used the same MV set that was seen for SHINee’s Sherlock MV. Hyomin can be seen singing in the same chair that Onew sat in, while the entire girl group danced in the same room where SHINee had set up their detective agency.

SBS Inkigayo 07.15.12

Today’s episode of SBS Inkigayo begins a new era of the show without a weekly winner or Take 7 ranking.


In an announcement from earlier this week, Chief producer Nam Seung Yong said “From July 15 episode of ‘Inkigayo,’ there will no longer be a ranking system and Mutizen Song. Since the word ‘Mutizen Song’ was created back in the day when the term ‘Netizen’ was farely new, the term feels outdated and old at this point. Also, many viewers are sick of music shows with the exact same format.”


Today featured a special stage “Summer Girls” featuring members of After School, f(x), SISTAR and T-ara. Special comeback stages were performed by 2PM‘s Wooyoung, PSY and NU’EST.

Super Junior Performs “Sexy, Free and Single” on Inkigayo

After making their comeback performances last week, Super Junior continues their promotions for “Sexy, Free & Single” onInkigayo today.

They released their sixth studio album “Sexy, Free and Single” on July 4, 11 months since the release of their previous album “Mr. Simple.” Their music video was also released two weeks ago and saw huge popularity with views coming in from all over the world on YouTube.

2NE1 Performs “I Love You” On Inkigayo

After making their first comeback performance last week on Inkigayo, 2NE1 continues their promotions for “I Love You” this week.

On their comeback performance, there were criticisms of animal abuse that were later addressed by YG.

Earlier this week, they had to cancel their performance on M!Countdown due to Minzy’s great-aunt and Korea’s legendary traditional dancer, Gong Ok Jin passing away.

The song was previously released on iTunes on July 5 as a digital single. According to YG, 2NE1 will be releasing its album one song at a time, similar to what they did last year with “Lonely,” “I Am the Best,” “Hate You” and “Ugly.”

Wooyoung Makes His Solo Debut Performances on Inkigayo

After delaying his solo debut, 2PM‘s Wooyoung finally makes his solo debut performance this week. Today on Inkigayo he performed “2Nite” and his title track “Sexy Lady.”

His music video for “Sexy Lady” was revealed last week on July 7 ,and was followed by the release of his full album “23, MALE, SINGLE” on July 11. Containing seven tracks, the title track was created by JYP himself. Two other songs were worked on by fellow 2PM group members Junsu and Junho.

Meanwhile, Wooyoung and 2AM’s Jo Kwon recently appeared on KBS “Happy Together 3” and shared stories about girl group members that asked them out.

NU’EST Has Comeback Performance on Inkigayo With “Not Over You” & “Action”

Rookie boy group NU’EST made their Inkigayo Comeback today with performances of “Not Over You” and their title track “Action.”

The music video was released on July 10 along with their new mini album. The title track “Action” was co-composed by Lee Gi and Seo Yong Bae, who were responsible for Ailee’s “Heaven.”

Coming from Pledis Entertainment, this five member boy group made their debut in March with “FACE.”

BEAST Releases Theme Music Video for “Midnight”

After revealing an album teaser yesterday, BEAST has released the theme Music Video for “Midnight.” The song was released today, July 15, one week before the release of their upcoming mini album.

BEAST’s 5th mini-album entitled “Midnight Sun” will drop on July 22. This release comes over a year since their previous hit “Fiction” in their full-length album “Fiction and Fact” from May 2011.

Just like in the previous teaser, the members are seen waking together on the streets of New York.  More closeup shots of each member are also seen, giving fans a better look at their new concept.

CN Blue Members Show Off Great Teamwork And Support For Each Other

The members of CN Blue have been showing off their great teamwork and support for each other as of late.

It started all from leader Jung Yong Hwa‘s surprise appearance as a cameo on the SBS drama “A Gentleman’s Dignity” where bandmate Lee Jong Hyun is playing the role of Colin. Jung made an appearance on the thirteenth episode last week as himself.

Jung’s cameo appearance became a hot issue even before the episode aired. It has also been revealed that Jung Yong Hwa,Jang Dong Gun, and Kim Haneul worked together in a harmonious atmosphere where laughter never left the set.

Jung Yong Hwa said, “The other members and I have been watching the drama ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’ that Jong Hyun’s appearing in, so it was a great honor to be able to cameo in it.” To this, Lee Jong Hyun responded, “It has been reassuring to have my members encourage me as we watched ‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’ together every weekend. I was happy that Yong Hwa hyung played the cameo role. Because of Yong Hwa hyung, it was a fun episode, and we all had fun watching it.”

Taking the baton from Jung Yong Hwa, untouchable bassist Lee Jung Shin will also be demonstrating the strong bond between the members as plans have been finalized to have him cameo on KBS drama “My Husband Got a Family” in which the lovely drummer and the latest nation’s little brother Kang Min Hyuk has been receiving much love for his role as Cha Se Kwang.

Regarding the cameo appearance, Lee Jung Shin stated, “I am extremely happy to be to have my first drama appearance on the nation’s drama ‘My Husband Got a Family.’ I think it’s especially meaningful to work with Min Hyuk in a project for which he’s being so loved.” To this, Kang Min Hyuk responded, “I filmed with Jung Shin, so it was reassuring and fun. The script writer wrote a role that fits perfectly with Jung Shin, so I think it would be okay for everybody to look forward to this episode.”

Meanwhile, CN Blue has been already known for their closeness and great teamwork. The most recent cameo appearances, however, drew the attention of the public even more.

Kim Jae Won To Work With Han Ji Hye In New Drama “May Queen”

Actor Kim Jae Won will be taking part as the protagonist of the new MBC drama “May Queen,” which is scheduled to air on August 8.

According to Kim’s agency on July 13, ‘May Queen’ is a work focused on the dreams and aspirations of students devoted in the shipbuilding industry. Kim will be playing the role of Kang San, the free-spirited and liberal successor of Hae Poong Group.

Kang San has the talent of never forgetting anything he’s seen once and gradually matures as he falls in love with a woman.

Actress Han Ji Hye will be playing the role of Hae Joo, the girl Kim Jae Won’s character will be wooing. Kim will also be forming a love rivalry with actor Jae Hee, who will be playing the role of Chang Hee.

Ayumi And After School’s Nana Emanate Model Force

After School‘s Nana and former Sugar member Ayumi recently battled each other out with their stunning looks.

On July 12, a single photo of the two that was posted on an online portal site caught the attention of many a viewer. Both can be seen flaunting model-like fashion. Ayumi turned her head slightly to show what is often called the “ulzzang” angle. However, it seems as though Ayumi was out-shined by Nana’s aura. The photo looks like it was taken when the two met while After School was promoting in Japan.

Netizens commented, “How did they get to know each other? They must have met in Japan,” “It is the meeting of the first generation and second generation idols,” and “This is an unexpected relationship.”

On July 12, actress Park Han Byul posted on her Twitter, “Cute and comfortable ‘can can’ skirt. Alright. Those of you who haven’t seen “Two Moons,” it is time to go see the late night showing,” along with a photo of herself.

In the photo, Park is flaunting a casual style with a white hooded sweatshirt, a mini “can can” skirt, and white sneakers. She is also making cute “v” signs with her two hands.

Her long and slender crane-like legs were especially noted by netizens who were thoroughly impressed.

Goo Hye Sun Reveals Report Card With Impressive Grades

Recently, actress Goo Hye Sun revealed her most recent report card through her Twitter.

On July 14, Goo tweeted, “I was actually number one in school” and attached a photo of her report card. With a GPA of 4.44, Goo Hye Sun was number one of 52 students in her department. She received A+’s in all but one of seven classes, including Drawing 1, Intro to Animation, and Video Editing Workshop 1.

Singer LEXY To Make Comeback After Four Years

Singer LEXY will be ending four-year-long hiatus and returning to the K-Pop scene. LEXT, who hasn’t been active since her self-titled album “LEXY” in 2008, will be making a comeback after four years and eight months this August.

In 2008, LEXY was supposed to work under the guidance of singer Shinnosuke of popular Japanese hip hop group SOUL’d OUT to enter the Japanese market, but complications arose  causing the plans to fall through. Afterwards, LEXY tried to resume activities in Korea, but she was unable to find an agency who she could agree with, resulting in an elongated hiatus. During that time, she experienced despair and lived a seclusive life. However, she found peace in her heart through hiking and rekindled her desire to return to the stage.

LEXY has been working on recording new songs since late last year, and earlier this year, she found her new home in Red Line Entertainment, the same agency as actor Chun Jung Myung. After settling down in the new agency, she started focusing on recording. LEXY also updated her mini-homepage this past February, letting her fans know of her whereabouts, as well as thanking them for their unending love and support.

JYP: “For SBS ‘K-POP STAR 2′ I Am Going To Be an Expressionless Judge”

Singer and Producer Park Jin Young stated that he will not show facial expressions for the upcoming “SBS K-POP STAR 2“.

On July 11, during SBS’ “Entertainment Tonight,” the team met up with ‘K-POP STAR 2′ judges Yang Hyun Suk, Park Jin Young, and BoA during their promotional photo shoot for the new season.

Park Jin Young made a statement saying, “In regards to ‘K-POP STAR 2′ I will not show my facial expressions.” In response, BoA stated, “As soon as the music starts, I think Park Jin Young will still say ‘Ahh!’ and express how he feels about the music”. Upon hearing her comment, Park Jin Young couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

In the first season of “K-POP STAR,” Park Jin Young was known for showing a variety of facial expressions during contestants’ performances.

T-ara’s Hyomin Reveals Secret To Getting a Doll-like Body

Hyomin’s photo of her working out with a gym ball has been gaining people’s attention. On July 12, she wrote on her twitter, “This summer, will exercise with gym ball.” She also revealed a picture.

In the photo, Hyomin is sitting on the gym ball while wearing black leggings with a sleeveless top over a white tank top. With her brown hair flowing down and her tennis shoes on, her pose makes her look like a mannequin. The images of her sitting on the gym ball or stretching while her legs are on either side of it reveal her slimness and flexibility.

SISTAR’s Hyorin’s Dark Skin Gets Compared

Sistar’s Hyorin’s dark skin is suddenly the center of netizen’s attention, as they compare her skin with Wonder Girls’ Sunye‘s and f(x)’s Victoria‘s.

In the July 9 episode of MBC’s “Come To Play,” leaders from three popular girl groups were featured together. Sunye, Hyorin, and Victoria sat side by side, showing a clear difference in skin tones. A thread in an online community board promptly appeared with title, “Hyorin’s Skin Color, More Shocking Next to Sunye’s Skin Color.”

The screen captures from the episode show a brightly smiling Hyorin situated between Sunye and Victoria. Unfortunately, having been sandwiched in between two porcelain-white skinned beauties, the darkness of Hyorin’s skin was even more emphasized. The comparison drew good-humored laughter within the show.

f(x)’s Sulli Looks Like a Doll

 f(x)’s Sulli showed off her doll-like expression on me2day.

She attached the picture with the following question: “I’m a snack millionaire. Everyone, you wanna eat together?”
